Dark mode extension for Opera browser | Night Eye

Installing Night Eye in Opera.

If you are using Opera, you can easily install any Chrome extension, including Night Eye. The process is relatively simple.
Check out the video we made to guide you through the process.

Install “Download Chrome Extensions” extension

Open Opera and head over to the Opera Add-Ons and install
"Download Chrome Extensions"

Access all Google Chrome extensions

You now can access any Google Chrome extension directly from the
Chrome Web Store.

Download Night Eye

Open Night Eye in Chrome Web Store and simply click Add to Opera.

Install Night Eye

To complete the installation, you will be redirected to the Extensions page in Opera. The last step is to click Install button in the the bottom right corner.

Important final adjustment for Night Eye to function properly

In order Night Eye to work on google.com and enable dark mode, you need to turn on "Allow access to search page results". To do so, follow the guide bellow.

For macOS users
To open the extensions page you can either use the shortcut Shift+CMD+E or click View and locate Extensions at the bottom of the menu.

For Windows users
To open the extensions page you can either use the shortcut Ctrl+Shift+E or click the Opera logo in the top left corner. After that locate Extensions in the menu and click it.

In the newly opened menu, find Night Eye and enable “Allow access to search page results”. This will allow Night Eye to enable dark mode on Google.com
